SNOWY WEEKED COLLECTION RECOVERY FUND
Unfortunately, during the January 24/25, 2026, weekend, due to the snow and ice, we had fewer mass participants, which resulted in a collection of $2,477.
Since we need a weekly collection $14,000 in order to make a budget, we will be having a Second Collection not for the Building Fund Campaign, but rather for the Snowy Weekend Collection Recovery.
Thus far, we have collected $1,390 on the January 1st and February 2nd weekend which brings our total to $3,867.

ACTUALIZACION DEL FONDO DE DE RECUPERACION DE LA COLECTA DEL FINDES EMANA NEVADO
Desafortunadamente, durante el fin de semana del 24 y 25 de enero de 2026, debido a la nieve y el hielo, tuvimos menos participantes en la misa, lo que resultó en una colecta de $2,477.
Dado que necesitamos una colecta semanal de $14,000 para cumplir con el presupuesto, tendremos una Segunda Colecta, no para la Campaña del Fondo de Construcción, sino para la Recuperación de la Colecta del Fin de Semana Nevado.
Hasta ahora, hemos recaudado $1,390 en los fines de semana del 1 de enero y 2 de febrero, lo que lleva nuestro total a $3,867.

Greetings in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ!
Unfortunately, on a rare occasion, there are no priests available for a Sunday Mass. In those cases, such as what happened this last Sunday, I was terribly sick, and I was unable to offer the 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon Masses. Therefore, I asked the deacons to assist me with those two Masses by presiding over a COMMUNION SERVICE IN THE ABSENCE OF THE PRIEST.
Is this permissible to do? Yes, according to the Code of Canon Law, and more specifically according to Canon 1248, #2: If it is impossible to assist at a Eucharistic Celebration, either because no sacred minister is available or for some other grave reason, the faithful are strongly recommended to take part in a liturgy of the Word, if there be such in the parish church or some other sacred place, which is celebrated in accordance with the provisions laid down by the diocesan Bishop; or to spend an appropriate time in prayer, whether personally or as a family or, as occasion presents, in a group of families.
I thank you for your prayers for my healing and recuperation. It is my hope and prayer that this will never happen again.
With regard to Lent, we will begin Lent this Wednesday, which will be Ash Wednesday. Please come to celebrate the beginning of the Best Lent Ever!!!

Saludos en el nombre de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo! Lamentablemente, en raras ocasiones, no hay sacerdotes disponibles para la Misa Dominical. En esos casos, tal como ocurrió el Domingo pasado, que estuve muy enfermo y no pude ofrecer las Misas de las 10:00 a.m. y las 12:00 p.m. Por lo tanto, pedí a los diáconos que me ayudaran con esas dos Misas presidiendo ellos un SERVICIO DE COMUNIÓN EN AUSENCIA DEL SACERDOTE.
¿Es esto lícito? Sí lo es, según el Código de Derecho Canónico, y más específicamente según el Canon 1248, n.º 2: Si es imposible asistir a una Celebración Eucarística, ya sea por falta de ministro sagrado o por alguna otra razón grave, se recomienda encarecidamente a los fieles que participen en una Liturgia de la Palabra, si la hay en la iglesia parroquial o en algún otro lugar sagrado, que se celebre de acuerdo con las disposiciones establecidas por el Obispo diocesano; o pasar un tiempo apropiado en oración, ya sea personalmente o en familia o, segun se presente la ocasion, en un grupo de familias.
Le agradeezco sus oraciones por mi sanacion y recuperacion. Espero y rezo para que esto no vuelva a suceder.
En cuanto a la Cuaresma, la comenzar emos este Miercoles, que sera Miercoles de Ceniza. Por favor, vengan a celebrar el comienzo de la mejor Cuaresma de la historia!
