No Confessions and No Mass on Wednesday, July 31, 2025, at 6:00 pm. No Healing Mass on Friday, August 1, 2025

From the Pastor's Heart/DESDE EL CORAZÓN DEL PASTOR

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, 


In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus tells of a man who persistently knocks on his friend’s door at midnight, asking for bread. Though the friend is reluctant, he eventually responds—not out of 

friendship, but because of the man's persistence. 


Jesus uses this story to teach us about bold and persistent prayer. God, unlike the reluctant friend, is generous and ready to respond. Yet He invites us to approach Him with perseverance and trust. When we knock, He opens. When we seek, He provides. 


Another beautiful expression of persistent prayer is the opportunity to join us on our upcoming pilgrimage to San Antonio, taking place August 18–22. This journey offers a time of spiritual renewal, fellowship, and connection with the rich Catholic heritage of Texas. 


We will depart from St. Patrick Church following the 8:15 a.m. Mass on Monday, August 18th. We are looking forward to celebrating Mass at some of the following locations: St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fredericksburg, TX; San Fernando Cathedral, San José Mission, the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower, all in San Antonio, TX. We plan to return home to Oklahoma City between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22nd. Please contact Gaby at 405-947-2275 for more details. 


I encourage you to prayerfully consider joining us. This pilgrimage is not only a journey of miles, but of faith—a special time to grow in prayer, community, and devotion.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo, 


En el Evangelio de Lucas, Jesús cuenta la historia de un hombre que llama persistentemente a la puerta de su amigo a medianoche, pidiendo pan. Aunque el amigo es reacio, eventualmente responde—no por amistad, sino debido a la persistencia del hombre.

 

Jesús utiliza esta historia para enseñarnos sobre la oración audaz y persistente. Dios, a diferencia del amigo reacio, es generoso y está dispuesto a responder. Sin embargo, nos invita a acercarnos a Él con perseverancia y confianza. Cuando llamamos, Él abre. Cuando buscamos, Él provee. 

Otra hermosa expresión de la oración persistente es la oportunidad de unirse a nosotros en nuestra próxima Peregrinación a San Antonio, que tendrá lugar del 18 al 22 de Agosto. Este viaje ofrece un tiempo de renovación espiritual, compañerismo y 

conexión con la rica herencia católica de Texas. 

Saldremos de la Iglesia de San Patricio después de la Misa de las 8:15 a.m. el Lunes 18 de Agosto. COLECTA CATÓLICA ANUAL 2025

En el Evangelio, se nos recuerda constantemente acerca de las riquezas, los tesoros y el dar. Se nos recuerda que Dios es nuestra fuente de todo. Por lo tanto, todo lo que poseemos le pertenece a Él. A través de la Colecta Católica Anual, tenemos la oportunidad de hacer una ofrenda de regreso a Dios, como una respuesta agradecida por las muchas bendiciones que Él nos ha confiado.

La Colecta Católica Anual no es solo una recaudación de fondos... es verdaderamente “Fe en Acción”. GROUP CHILDREN FOR CHRIST OUR GOOD SHEPHERD


All children ages 6-12 years old are invited to join our group. We will learn all about our beautiful catholic faith and practices. The children participate in the Mass on the first Sunday of each month at the 12:00 Mass, and the meetings are on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm.
