Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

This Sunday’s Gospel reminds us of the profound depth of God’s love: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son…” These words are not only among the most well-known in Scripture, but they are also a foundation of our faith.

Jesus speaks of being “lifted up,” referring both to His crucifixion and His glorification. In His suffering, we see not defeat, but divine mercy poured out for our salvation. The Cross becomes the sign of God’s immense love—a love that seeks not to condemn, but to redeem.

Let this message take root in your heart: God’s love is not distant or conditional. It is present, personal, and saving. No matter where we are on our journey, the Cross points the way home—to forgiveness, healing, and eternal life.

May we live this week in the light of that love and reflect it to all we encounter.

Building Fund Update:
We will have a 2^nd collection on the first and third weekends of each month for the Building Fund to cover the costs of the Rectory bathroom ($7,800), the remodeling of the parish kitchen, and the parish hall and bathrooms. This month, those dates are the weekends of September 7^th and September 21st. We estimate the total overall amount needed to be approximately $125,000.00

Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo,

El Evangelio de este domingo nos recuerda la profunda profundidad del amor de Dios: “Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado a su Hijo unigénito…” Estas palabras no solo están entre las más conocidas de las Escrituras, sino que también son un fundamento de nuestra fe.

Jesús habla de ser “levantado”, refiriéndose tanto a su crucifixión como a su glorificación. En su sufrimiento, no vemos derrota, sino misericordia divina derramada por nuestra salvación. La Cruz se convierte en el signo del inmenso amor de Dios—un amor que no busca condenar, sino redimir.

Deja que este mensaje eche raíz en tu corazón: el amor de Dios no es distante ni condicional. Está presente, es personal y salva. No importa dónde estemos en nuestro viaje, la Cruz señala el camino a casa—hacia el perdón, la sanación y la vida eterna.

Que vivamos esta semana a la luz de ese amor y lo reflejemos a todos los que encontramos.

Actualización del Fondo de Construcción: Tendremos una segunda colecta el primer y tercer fin de semana de cada mes para el Fondo de Construcción, con el fin de apoyar la próxima construcción de un edificio de almacenamiento de metal, la remodelación de la cocina parroquial y los baños del salón parroquial. Este mes, esas fechas son los fines de semana del 7 de septiembre y del 21 de septiembre. Estimamos que el monto total necesario es de aproximadamente $125,000.00.
